BOOK REVIEW: Bumps in the Night by Frank Rodgers

BLURB:

The Pickle family love living at the Hungry Horse Cafe. But they're not getting much sleep - because something is making funny noises in the night... and it seems to be stealing things too! Could the Hungry Horse be haunted by a Greedy Ghost? Can the Pickles solve the mystery and find out who -or what - is going BUMP... in the night?

REVIEW BY: Angel, age 13 years, 4 months

MAY CONTAIN SPOILER:

This book was fun, theatrical and had a lesson here and there.

This book is about the Pickle family who just moved in to a cafe with an apartment above it, but they didn't know that the cafe is haunted! The people in the town said that a ghost steals shiny things and bumps into things to scare people. However, the ghost is very nice and just needs his glasses so he can see again. Soon the Pickle family finds the ghost's glasses and everyone else's things that the ghost stole while looking for his glasses.

My favorite part is when the ghost gets so excited about finding his glasses that he hits his head while jumping up and down because it is absolutely hilarious!

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 and up because it is a shorter story.
