BOOK REVIEW: Crystal Balls (Jamie and Ryan, Book 2) by Jean Gill

BLURB:

Jamie’s Mum is hooked on fortune-tellers and running into debt, so she and her friend Ryan decide to investigate the psychic world and show that it is full of con-artists.

However, as they are drawn deeper into the world they are investigating, Jamie is told that she has a psychic gift, channelled through her ‘spirit guide’ and the weird dreams start.

Night-time experiences as a medieval warrior princess, doomed to revisit her last battlefield, always searching for something, are making Jamie ill. She has to uncover the secrets of the past, following the trail that starts at Kidweli castle in south Wales, where Princess Gwenllian once lived.

Instead of rescuing her mother, Jamie is drawn into a supernatural world herself. Will friendship be strong enough to bring her back?

REVIEW BY: Angel, age 13 years, 1 month

MAY CONTAIN SPOILER:

This was a big book of drama, mystery and dark magic.

Jamie and Ryan, best friends, start researching the world of fortune-tellers because they are determined to prove to Jamie's mom that it is just a waste of time. However, they start to believe in things that they never even could imagine.

My favorite character is Jamie because she sticks to everything all the way to the end. My favorite part is when Jamie uncovers the secrets!

I recommend this book for people who are hooked on black magic.

I give this book 3 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 and up.
