BOOK REVIEW: Shattered by Mari Mancusi

BLURB:

A girl at the end of the world.

Two brothers fighting for opposite sides.

And a dragon who can save them all...

Or set the world on fire.

Trinity's world changed forever the day she stole Emmy's egg. Now she's on the run with the last living dragon and twin brothers from a war-torn future. Connor may have betrayed his mission to kill Emmy, but he'll do whatever it takes to prevent the coming dragon apocalypse. Coddling a temperamental dragon on its way to being the size of a house is no way to keep them safe. But Caleb can't stand to see Emmy trapped and miserable.

When a video of Emmy flying over the skies of the Texas Hill Country goes viral, the government closes in--and the future they've risked everything for is about to go up in flames.

REVIEW BY: Angel, age 12 years, 10 days until 13!

MAY CONTAIN SPOILER:

This book is a suspenseful, nerve-racking fantasy with a twisty end!

This novel is the second book in the Scorch series and is absolutely brilliant!

Trinity Foxx, the main character, is back for another dragon adventure with Connor and Caleb. However, things go terribly wrong when Trinity feels a sting in her arm, but nothing seems to of punctured her skin. Then Trinity realizes that it must be her fire kissed Emberlyn. Everything gets exciting from there, Emmy gets on the web, Caleb does everything wrong, Trinity needs to find her dad and Scarlet, Emmy's new best friend, thinks it is all her fault.

I loved this novel! Sometimes during this book I kept telling myself that I despise Scarlet because she keeps making things worse, but then again it wouldn't have been a great story without her!

My favorite character is Emberlyn because she loves to help people.

My favorite part is when Scarlet and Caleb are in Nether.

I recommend this novel to team dragon and teens that love a twisty dragon tale!

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 12 and up.
