BOOK REVIEW: Operation Josh Taylor Hannah Smart by Melody Fitzpatrick

BLURB:

To see teen idol Josh Taylor in concert, Hannah Smart is prepared to face bullies, learn terrible secrets, and discover hidden talents.

When thirteen-year-old Hannah Smart finds out that teen idol Josh Taylor (only the most talented singer in the entire world) is coming to her hometown to kick off his first-ever concert tour, she nearly goes into shock. Even more shocking is the fact that her parents one-hundred-percent refuse to buy her a ticket — if Hannah wants to go, she has to figure out a way on her own.

With the help of her genius best friend, Rachel, Hannah hatches a scheme that will surely get the girls to the concert. But when evil Scarlett Hastings sticks her nasty nose in, messing up their plan, all hope seems lost.

Will Hannah and Rachel ever get to the concert? And will Hannah even want to go when she discovers the horrible secret her parents have been hiding?

REVIEW BY: Angel, age 12 years, 11 months

MAY CONTAIN SPOILER:

This book was a fun and engaging book about money and friendship.

This book is about Hannah Smart and her major obsession with a famous singer named Josh Taylor. When Josh finally goes on tour Hannah finds out that they are coming to Hannah's town first. However, Hannah's mother won't pay for the tickets so Hannah has to get her bottom in gear with her best friend, Rachel, to earn money for two tickets. Along the way to money and concert tickets, more than a few obstacles get in the way!

My favorite part is when Hannah is on the plane because she meets A.J. and she is very nervous.

My favorite character is Rachel because she is so different than Hannah. She seems so real!

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 and up.

This book's publishing date is October 3, 2015.
