BOOK REVIEW: Omar Blue and K-9 Town, USA by O. Warfield

BLURB FROM BACK OF BOOK:

Mighty Doberman Omar Blue and his pack of fierce canines form K-9 Town, USA. With predators always lurking they survive by their fearlessness, love for each other and love for their new home.
While the canine Elders and the puppies settle in there’s no end to the adventure. The pack is always alert and ready for trouble but it's Omar's wise and somewhat mystical awareness that normally prevails.

REVIEW BY: Angel, age 9 years, 11 months

SPOILER ALERT:

This story is about a dog named Omar Blue. Omar Blue has a pack that follows him everywhere. Omar finds a new town that is named K-9 Town, USA. While the pack is there, they have alot of outings and other things. Some of the dogs even get married! While they are performing a wedding, the Coyote Reds come and Omar Blue takes care of them. When everything is going right, the female dogs go get some berries for dinner and they find a bear. The bears name is Dirty Sam, the grizzly. The females talk to the bear and tell him that they are not scared of him. Their adventure is still not over though.

My favorite part was when the rottweiler named Brady and Sophie get married! I like this part because it is so funny and I can just imagine two dogs getting married. I think anyone who enjoys books about dogs and adventures would love to read this book. I think this book is best for 3rd-6th graders and I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
